Novamelt offers a wide range of hotmelt pressure-sensitive adhesives based on thermoplastic rubber under the brand name Novamelt® PS.

These products are suitable for nearly every self-adhesive application from low-adhesion products to very tacky, permanent products. The main application areas are self-adhesive labels, tapes, plasters, flexible packaging or industrial intermediate products such as sound-dampening material. Self-adhesive technology offers an intelligent and economical alternative to mechanical fastening processes. At room temperature, the products are solid.

These products are supplied in siliconised cardboard boxes containing 4, 8 or 20 kg or in fibredrums containing 165 to 175 kg.

Hotmelt adhesives are melted with block melters or drum-unloaders. Coating is made at 150 to 180 °C, depending on the specific application, on standard roller- or slot-die-coating machines.
